PROJECT VISUALIZATION

This technique allows clients to look into the future and "see" the possible project pathways that may exist. Often data and information can be visualized more clearly in graphic format or in interactive 3D space, rather than in tables or spreadsheets. Project visualization allows all project stakeholders to achieve a shared vision of the solution.

Case Study:

• From 1997-2000, Project Navigator acted as the general project manager at the Operating Industries Inc. (OII) Superfund Site in Monterey Park, during the construction of the cap and gas collection system. We provided oversight of the EPC contractor for the PRP group and assisted in "raising the bar" on project performance by carefully assisting via the use of visualization tools.
• For example, it was important to correctly locate the landfill gas extraction wells within the landfill trash prism. Project Navigator helped the construction contractor by creating electronic 3D visuals of the landfill. Gas extraction wells were virtually inserted into the waste prism and their effectiveness was assessed.
